About Laura
We are a mother-daughter blogging team. I am the mother of this duo and my name is Laura. I was married young, was with my now ex husband for 20 years, got divorced, currently back out in the dreaded world of dating and that makes it feel like I’m 24 all over again. Not always in a good way either! I write a lot about my dating experiences (or lack there of at times) Online dating is oh so much fun, isn’t it? Oh the stories we’ll share! I will also share some of my tales of my marriage trials and tribulations that ultimately lead to the end. I’m not going to trash my ex…much. I’m really hoping that sharing on this blog will help me acquire some answers to some of my ‘why and what’ questions in life. Or at the very least make some sort of sense to all of this. This life stuff. It’s always comforting to know someone else relates to what you’re going through. We can help each other. Who needs therapy?!
I went to college for Marketing and Business while my kids were growing up and have been in the cosmetic industry as a make up artist/ management for over 15 years. I love cosmetics and probably own enough makeup and supplies to open my own cosmetic shop. Hmmm…perhaps I’m on to something here? In the meantime I plan on incorporating all that cosmetic love into our blog.
I am very close to my son (22) and daughter (20). Since my divorce from their father we have become even closer. We’re kinda like the 3 musketeers. Although my son has a very busy life he makes time to test taste all of our baking! With him being so busy that leaves my daughter and myself with time to do all of the girl things we love to do.
Between people telling us we should start a blog and our obsession with makeup, writing, music, baking, decorating and everything creative in between we decided to share it all on a blog. Oh and I should warn you, I have an obsession with strawberries! Just sayin.
I am fascinated by peoples stories and love, love, love hearing them. This is our story…our journey.
